Working visit by German Experts and Students fosters partnership at Hue University of Law
Update day: 07-03-2025A delegation of experts and students from the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) recently visited the University of Law, Hue University on February 24 and 25, 2025. The primary objective of the visit was to facilitate a robust academic exchange, allowing both sides to share insights on legal education and explore potential avenues for future collaboration in training and research.
The delegation included Mr. Timo Rinke, Country Director of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in Vietnam, Ms. Tran Hong Hanh, Program Manager at FES, and professors from the University of Augsburg and the Berlin School of Economics and Technology.
Welcoming the delegation were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University of Law, Hue University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Viet Long, Head of the Training Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Trinh, Dean of the Faculty of International Law, along with over 50 students from the two units.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong emphasized the University of Law, Hue University's desire to learn from the German experts' valuable insights on advanced training models, challenges, and successful solutions. He also expressed the university's readiness to share its own efforts, achievements, and development orientations. Furthermore, he hoped that the meeting would open up new cooperation opportunities, laying the groundwork for effective training programs with practical value for both sides.
During the event, students from both universities engaged in lively discussions about the legal field in their respective countries, exchanging insights on their learning experiences. Students from the University of Law, Hue University, were particularly interested in topics such as scholarships and the possibility of studying law in Germany.
The university expressed its hope that this visit would not be limited to short-term exchanges but would rather foster a sustainable and developing relationship between the two organizations. The goal is to create a foundation for long-term cooperation and connection in training, scientific research, and development, aligning with the strengths of both institutions./.
