On May 27th, 2023, University of Law, Hue University held a solemn ceremony to inaugurate “LEGAL PROFESSION TALENT” scholarship and support program. Additionally, the university organized the final round of the 2023 2nd Legal Talent Competition.

The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tu, Deputy Chief Judge of the People's Court of Hue City; Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Hanh, Chairwoman of the Thua Thien Hue Lawyers Association; Dr. Hoang Kim Toan, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Hue University; Mr. Le Cao, Director of FDVN law firm; Ms. Le Thi Thu, Director of Thu Le Law Firm; and Ms. Van Pham Kim Xuyen, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Viet Nhat Kindergarten System in Quang Nam.

Representing Hue University of Law were in attendance Assoc. Prof. Doan Duc Luong, the Rector; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duy Phuong, the Vice-Rector; and other heads and deputy heads of various departments within the university.

Giving speech at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong emphasized that in recent times, Hue University of Law and FDVN law firm have successfully organized many practical activities to support legal practice, such as legal entrepreneurship, mock trials, legal career orientation forums, training for legal skills, arbitration, corporate law, time management skills, and more. These activities have been beneficial to the students of Hue University of Law and other law schools in the Central and Central Highlands regions.

The inauguration of the scholarship program and talent support program at this event is a significant milestone, aimed at expanding the scale of the program and calling for more sponsors and support programs to help train and develop legal skills for the students of Hue University of Law and other universities in the region.

At the ceremony, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Hue University presented 12 scholarships worth 36,000,000 VND to the students who made it to the final round of the 2nd Legal Talent Competition of the year 2023. The scholarship program received cash sponsorships from the Viet Nhat Kindergarten System in Quang Nam and Thu Le Law Firm, who also pledged to provide ongoing support. Additionally, the scholarship program received a cash sponsorship of 10,000,000 VND from the university alumni.

Also, in the morning of May 27th, 2023, the final round of the 2nd Legal Talent Competition on the theme "Chat GPT and the Legal Profession" took place. Phan Khanh Chi, a student of the Economic Law class K44A, excellently won the special prize, and the first prize went to Phan Thi Thu Bich, a student of the Economic Law class K43E, after nearly 4 hours of competition.
