MOU Signing Ceremony between Hue University of Law and Jeonbuk National University Law School
Update day: 30-09-2025On the afternoon of September 30, 2025, at 13:00 Korea time, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed at Meeting Room 501 of Jeonbuk National University between Hue University of Law (HUL) and the Law School of Jeonbuk National University (JBNUS).
Attending on behalf of HUL were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyễn Duy Phương (Vice Rector); Dr. Phan Vĩnh Tuấn Anh (Lecturer, Faculty of Economic Law); and Ms. Đoàn Mai Thủy Quyên (Science, Technology and International Cooperation Officer).
From the Law School of Jeonbuk National University, the delegation included Professor Jeong Yeong Sun – Dean of the Law School; Professor Kim Sung Jin – Vice Dean; Professor Tae Ki Jung – Director of the Student Guidance Center; Professor Yang Hyo Ryeong – Head of the Chinese Law Department; Professor Hong Chun Eui – Former Head of the International Cooperation Office; Professor Song Moon Ho – Director of the Legal Research Institute (concurrently Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legal Studies); Professor Bae Jung Saeng – Director of the Northeast Asian Law Research Institute (concurrently Editor-in-Chief of the Northeast Asian Law Journal); and Administrative Officer and Coordinator – Mr. Yoon Sung Ho.
In a atmosphere of formality and goodwill, the two sides signed the MOU, laying a solid foundation for professional and academic cooperation. The discussions were lively and focused on three core areas of collaboration: Faculty exchange; Inviting visiting faculty to teach short-term courses (in English or Korean) at each university: Jointly organizing seminars, international conferences, and publishing scientific research in the academic journals of both institutions.
Beyond the signing, the HUL delegation had the opportunity to tour the Law School and the broader Jeonbuk National University campus, which helped them gain a deeper understanding of the academic and research environment at their partner institution.
The parties also posed for commemorative photos, reaffirming their commitment to implementing the agreed-upon cooperation in a substantive manner. The signing ceremony not only opens a new chapter in the relationship between the two institutions, but also contributes to building a high-quality legal education and research foundation—meeting international integration requirements and nurturing lawyers, lecturers, and researchers well-versed in both domestic and global legal contexts.
