On January 2, 2024, the University of Law, Hue University organized the 2024 PhD Student Conference.

The University's leaders include: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong (Secretary of the Party Committee - Rector); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee-Vice Recto)r; Dr. Nguyen Hong Son (Chairman of the School Council) along with scientists - supervisors, Heads and Deputy Heads of affiliated units and all HUL’s PhD students attended the Conference.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong (Secretary of the Party Committee - Rector of the University of Law) expressed his joy at the trust that PhD students have given to the University of Law, Hue University as a place to pursue their doctoral degrees.

As the University's leader, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong commits to assigning reputable lecturers to train and supervise the theses. The University will provide all the best conditions for PhD students to complete the training program. Specialized faculties will build academic programs for PhD students to participate in as well as support and share experiences for the faculties and the University’s activities. The University’s leaders also believe that PhD students need to develop detailed study plans, keep in regular contact with supervisors to grasp research orientation, contact specialized units to conduct seriously scientific researches. Assoc. Prof.. Dr. Doan Duc Luong hopes that the PhD students will always maintain his/her efforts and enthusiasm in all stages to best carry out his/her thesis.

Presenting at the conference, Dr. Tran Viet Long, Head of the Training Department, said that the implementation of the doctoral training plan is carried out continuously. Relevant plans are always sent and updated to PhD students through text systems and social networks, so updates are always guaranteed to be quick and effective. The total number of PhD students completing training modules reached 69%; The number of defended thesis outline is estimated at 52.4%. Academic meetings and topic defense sessions were carried out on schedule and in accordance with regulations in terms of both content and form. The training support departments always advise enthusiastically and pay attention to the requirements of PhD students. The work of urging PhD students to carry out their thesis on schedule and report on their learning status is continuously carried out. In particular, the University has developed and issued a doctoral training manual according to new regulations, in which the University has also announced the process, requirements and forms during the training process to PhD students.

At the conference, Prof.Dr. Le Dinh Phung (Vice Rector of the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University) guided PhD students in applying information technology in managing and citing references to carry out doctoral theses.

Also within the framework of the conference program, representatives of the University of Law leaders and functional departments answered the PhD students' questions. Translation result.
