Student Dialogue Conference 2024-2025
Update day: 14-05-2025On the afternoon of May 14, 2025, the University of Law, Hue University held the Student Dialogue Conference - a significant event that reflects the University’s dedication to supporting and engaging with its student body.
In attendance were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Lương, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Duy Phương, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyễn Hồng Sơn, Chairman of the School Council; along with heads and deputy heads of functional departments, faculties, affiliated centers, and nearly 800 student representatives from regular academic programs.
Delivering opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Lương emphasized that the conference provided a platform to listen to and address student concerns and feedback regarding academic affairs, training, and campus life. These inputs serve as a foundation for reviewing and enhancing student support and educational services, reaffirming the University’s commitment to accompanying students throughout their academic journey.
During the conference, nearly 20 student-raised issues were documented, focusing primarily on teaching quality, training activities, and learning facilities. Additionally, students voiced concerns about tuition policies, scholarships, research opportunities, internships, and access to learning materials.
Other key topics included examination regulations, student services, infrastructure, professional skill development, and career guidance after graduation.
The University's leadership and unit representatives responded directly to many of the raised issues, reflecting a spirit of transparency, responsibility, and student-centered governance. Several matters were noted for further review and action in alignment with the School’s strategic development goals.
In concluding the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Duy Phương urged functional units to act upon student feedback based on their responsibilities, applicable regulations, and practical conditions. He also encouraged students to remain proactive and constructive in voicing opinions, partnering with the School to continuously build a better academic and developmental environment.
