On the morning of June 18, 2025, at Hall B, the University of Law, Hue University, the opening ceremony for the official external assessment survey for two of the University's training programs (Master's in Economic Law and PhD in Economic Law) took place. The assessment activity is being conducted by an External Assessment Expert Team from the Thang Long Center for Education Quality Accreditation.

Attending the ceremony, from the Thang Long Center for Education Quality Accreditation and the External Assessment Team, were Dr. Nguyen Van Duong, Director of the Center and Secretary of the External Assessment Team; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam, former Rector of the VNU University of Science, Hanoi, and Head of the External Assessment Team; Dr. Pham Minh Dam, Head of the Office of Education Quality Assessment and Accreditation, and a permanent member of the External Assessment Team, along with other members of the team.

Representing Hue University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Viet Minh Nhat, Director of the Institute for Testing and Education Quality Assurance; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, along with representatives from member universities of Hue University.

From the University of Law, Hue University, the ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong, the University's Rector; Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Vice Rector, along with the heads and deputy heads of the University's affiliated units; alumni, current students, employers, and all officials and employees of the University.

At the ceremony, representing the Thang Long Center for Education Quality Accreditation, Dr. Pham Minh Dam, Head of the Office of Assessment and Accreditation, announced the decisions to establish the External Assessment Team for the two training programs. He also introduced the objectives and content of the official survey at the University of Law, Hue University.

On behalf of the University's leadership, Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong stated that the University has always affirmed that education quality assurance is a crucial task following a cycle (internal quality assurance; external assessment; and quality improvement) that needs to be implemented comprehensively, thoroughly, and systematically. Through the self-assessment of the two training programs, the University's Education Quality Assurance Council, the Self-Assessment Council, and relevant departments have identified "gaps" and "limitations" to address in the future quality assurance process.

Following the program, Dr. Dao Mong Diep, Head of the Faculty of Economic Law and Permanent Vice Chair of the Self-Assessment Council, presented an overview of the University of Law, Hue University, and the two training programs being assessed. The presentation highlighted the self-assessment process, the results achieved, and the orientation for quality improvement in the near future.

According to the plan, from June 18 to June 21, the External Assessment Team will conduct on-site surveys, work with various units, and study evidence to prepare the official assessment report. This is a significant activity that contributes to promoting the assurance and enhancement of the University's education quality.
