On June 16, 2023, a welcoming and working session with the Delegation from the Faculty of Law, Songkla University, Thailand was hosted by the University of Law, Hue University.

The delegation of the Faculty of Law, Songkla University was led by Mr. Sutthichai Ngamchuensuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Songkla University. Accompanying Mr. Sutthichai, there were also the participation of Mr. Thummaruk Jittasayno, Deputy Head of the Administration Department; Mr. Kritsarat Srisawang, Deputy Dean of Graduate research Department, Head of the Master of Laws Program; Mr. Wongwit Kwanpattalung, Deputy Head of Student Affairs Department; Mr. Surinrat Kaewtong, Head of the Bachelor of Laws program and 22 other officials and lecturers from the Faculty of Law, Songkla University, Thailand.

In the session, the University of Law, Hue University was represented by Mr. Doan Duc Luong, Rector of the University of Law, Hue University and other leaders including Mrs. Cao Dinh Lanh, Head of the Science Technology - International Cooperation Department; Mrs. Le Thi Nga, Head of the Faculty of Administrative Law; Mrs. Le Thi Hai Ngoc, Director of the Legal advice – Short-term training Center; Mrs. Dao Mong Diep, Dean of the Faculty of Economic Law; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong Trinh, Dean of the Faculty of International Law; Mrs. Le Thi Thao, Director of Legal practice and Entrepreneurship Center; Mrs. Nguyen Van Kiem, Head of Organization - Administration Department; Mrs. Nguyen Tai Nang, Head of Planning - Finance Department.

In his speech in English at the working session, Associate Professor, PhD. Doan Duc Luong provided a brief introduction to the history of formation and development of the University of Law, Hue University. At the same time, he also emphasized the special attention to international cooperation activities of the University in recent years. He affirmed that this session will certainly be a valuable opportunity for both sides to discuss openly and frankly about each party’s capabilities and needs in the cooperation and development plan in the future.

Delegates from the two parties also actively exchanged and discussed cooperation contents in detail based on the strengths and needs of both parties.

After a serious working session, leaders of both parties agreed on activities that will be implemented in the furture, including: Cooperating in organizing international scientific conference in 2024; Exchanging students for study and practical experience in Thailand and Vietnam; Exchanging models and methods to improve the effectiveness of law practice activities for students of both parties; Conducting an agreement and sign a MOU between the two parties in the future (conducted in person in Thailand or via online form).

Leaders of the two parties participating the session also expressed the hope for many successful cooperation programs in the near future.
