SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF THE 5TH TRADE UNION CONGRESS (2025–2030), UNIVERSITY OF LAW, HUE UNIVERSITY
Update day: 08-11-2025On the afternoon of November 8, 2025, the Trade Union of the University of Law, Hue University solemnly convened its 5th Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term. This important political event aimed to review the achievements of the previous term and set out orientations and tasks for the new phase.

Attending the Congress, from Hue University, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Duân, Chairman of the Hue University Trade Union; Dr. Trần Đăng Huy, Vice Chairman of the Hue University Trade Union; along with representatives from the trade unions of member universities.
From the University of Law were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Lương, Rector; Dr. Nguyễn Hồng Sơn, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Duy Phương, former Vice Rector; in addition to leaders of affiliated units and all faculty and staff members of the University.
During the 2023–2025 term, the University’s Trade Union effectively fulfilled its role as the representative body safeguarding the legal and legitimate rights and interests of faculty and staff. It closely coordinated with University leadership to care for members’ welfare, ensuring proper implementation of social and labor policies. Political education, professional development, and training activities were strengthened; emulation movements, cultural–sports events, and volunteer activities thrived, contributing to team cohesion and enhancing the community spirit across the University. The “Good at Professional Work, Good at Family Responsibility” movement continued to attract the participation of 100% of female union members. Financial management, inspection, and supervision were conducted thoroughly and transparently, helping to strengthen the credibility of the Trade Union.
Speaking at the Congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Duân, Chairman of the Hue University Trade Union, commended the remarkable achievements of the Trade Union of the University of Law during the past term. He emphasized that the Trade Union demonstrated unity, proactiveness, and creativity in protecting the rights and interests of its members while actively coordinating with University leadership to accomplish political and professional missions. He expressed confidence that in the 2025–2030 term, the University’s Trade Union will continue to uphold its traditions, innovate its activities, and build a strong, cohesive membership, thereby contributing significantly to the development of Hue University as a whole.
Also at the Congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Lương, Rector of the University of Law, expressed appreciation for the guidance and support from the Hue University Trade Union, while recognizing the vital role of the University’s Trade Union in accompanying the institution in fulfilling its tasks. He stressed that in the context of higher education reform and international integration, the Trade Union must continue to serve as a reliable bridge between University leadership and staff, promoting democracy, unity, and better care for the material and spiritual well-being of faculty and employees. He called on the Trade Union to inspire dedication and creativity among its members, contributing to the sustainable development of the University of Law, Hue University as a leading center for legal education and research in the Central–Highlands region.

The Congress elected the 5th Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the University of Law, Hue University, consisting of nine members who are capable, reputable, and dedicated-demonstrating a collective determination to innovate trade union activities, foster solidarity, and contribute to the successful fulfillment of the University’s strategic missions in the new term.
With the action motto “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development,” the 2025-2030 term sets the goal of building a strong and dynamic Trade Union, ensuring comprehensive care for its members, improving overall capacity, and promoting meaningful and effective emulation movements.
