After nearly 3 exciting but challenging months, the V-Med competition has reached its final stage. The participating teams have demonstrated their confidence, knowledge, and skills in problem-solving, overcoming obstacles, and their ability to learn and improve through each round. Not only did the competition provide students with valuable knowledge and experience, but it also offered opportunities to connect with experts and professional mediators. Over the two days of September 23 and 24, the 20 teams went through 3 rounds of hypothetical scenarios, where they assumed the roles of mediators and disputing parties to conduct mock mediation sessions following the VICMC Mediation Rules.

On the morning of September 30, 2024, the Closing Ceremony of the Vietnam Commercial Mediation Competition V-MED 2024 took place at Hall B, University of Law, Hue University.

The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished guests and delegates. Representing the co-organizers from the Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC) were: Lawyer Nguyễn Hưng Quang, President of VICMC; Lawyer Vũ Thị Quế, Vice President of VICMC; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Minh Hằng, Secretary-General of VICMC; Mr. Phan Trọng Đạt, Director of the Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC).

The program was divided into 3 main sessions:

The first session was a scientific discussion on the topic "The Singapore Convention on Mediation: Challenges, Opportunities, and Prospects for Vietnam."

The second session was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Hue University of Law and the Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC). The cooperation focused on teaching, training, scientific research, legal and policy consultation, organizing conferences, workshops, and exchanging information, as well as branding collaboration between the two sides.

The third session was the award ceremony for the Vietnam Commercial Mediation Competition 2024. The total prize pool included the following categories: Mediator category (10 Bronze Medals, 5 Silver Medals, and 5 Gold Medals); Party in Mediation category (10 Bronze Medals, 5 Silver Medals, and 5 Gold Medals). Additionally, 5 special awards were given: The Most Popular Team Award; The Best Mediator Award; The Best Party in Mediation Award; The Most Promising Team Award.

At the end of the 2024 V-Med competition, the OFA team from Hue University of Law achieved impressive final results: Gold Medal in the Mediator category; Silver Medal in the Party in Mediation category; Special Award for Best Mediator; Special Award for the Most Promising Team

The medals and awards found their rightful winners. Throughout the competition, the contestants brought us many emotions, from tension and suspense to excitement and joy. Most of us felt the intense atmosphere of this special closing ceremony.

Above all, congratulations to the OFA team from Hue University of Law. You have worked hard, applying your knowledge and skills over the past 3 months, to achieve such proud results. This is a reward for your efforts. Once again, congratulations!
