On April 6, 2026, Hue University of Law, Hue University, hosted an international academic seminar titled “Sources of International Law: Theory and Practice” The event featured a presentation by Professor Park Ki-Gab (Korean National University), along with the participation of numerous lecturers, students, and researchers interested in the field of international law.

At the seminar, the speaker provided a systematic and up-to-date overview of the sources of international law, including international treaties, customary international law, and general principles of law. Building on this foundation, several in-depth issues were analyzed, clarifying their formation, legal value, as well as their operation and application in practice.

The academic discussions were lively, with many questions and comments raised by faculty members and students. These exchanges helped illuminate existing challenges and obstacles, while also highlighting emerging trends in the flexible application of legal sources in the context of deepening globalization and international integration.

Through this program, students not only gained access to both foundational and practical knowledge of international law, but also had the opportunity to develop legal reasoning and enhance their academic skills. This, in turn, contributed to a deeper understanding of the role of international law in maintaining order, promoting peace, and fostering international cooperation.

At the same time, the seminar served as a platform for academic exchange and for strengthening research collaboration between the University and international partners and experts. The event further affirms the development orientation of Hue University of Law in advancing research and teaching in globally relevant legal fields, thereby contributing to the training of high-quality legal human resources in the era of international integration.
