Preliminary Survey by External Review Team for Two Academic Programs at the School of Law, Hue University
Update day: 06-06-2025On the morning of June 6, 2025, the University of Law, Hue University held an online working session with the External Evaluation Team from Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation, as part of the preliminary surveyin preparation for the official accreditation of two postgraduate programs: Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Economic Law.
Representing Thang Long Center were Dr. Nguyễn Văn Đường, Director and Secretary of the External Evaluation Team; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Duy Cam, Head of the Evaluation Team and former Rector of the University of Science, VNU Hanoi; Dr. Phạm Minh Đàm, Head of Evaluation and Accreditation Division; Dr. Phan Anh Tuấn, Director of the Institute of Security Science, People’s Security Academy; Ms. Trần Thị Vân, Monitoring Specialist; and Ms. Tống Như Quỳnh, Team Support Specialist.
Representing the University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Lương, Rector and Chairman of the Self-Evaluation Council; Dr. Nguyễn Hồng Sơn, Chairman of the School Council; along with members of the Self-Evaluation Council, secretariat, and standard-specific working groups.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Lương affirmed that quality assurance is a strategic priority for the University. He welcomed the team and expressed hope for constructive feedback to support the continued enhancement of training programs.
Dr. Nguyễn Văn Đường, Director of Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation, expressed his gratitude to the University for entrusting the Center with the task of conducting the external evaluation of the two postgraduate programs. He emphasized that the Center and the External Evaluation Team are committed to carrying out the evaluation process objectively, scientifically, and in compliance with the proper procedures, thereby accompanying the University in its efforts to continuously improve educational quality.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Duy Cam presented a report summarizing the review of self-assessment documents, supporting evidence, and feedback from the working groups. Discussions were held to clarify and refine the evaluation materials, and the two sides agreed on the official site visit, scheduled for June 18-21, 2025.
At the conclusion of the session, a Memorandum of Understanding for the preliminary survey was signed by the External Evaluation Team, the Center’s representatives, and University leadership-laying the groundwork for a transparent and effective formal evaluation process.
