On April 25, 2023 , the University of Law, Hue University in collaboration with the University of Toulouse Capitole, France; The Business Law Center (University of Toulouse Capitole) and the Network of National Institutes for the Humanities on Health and Environmental Crisis co-organized the international academic symposium on “Business and risk prevention - Legal perspective”.

The symposium had the attendence of nearly 70 participants in person, 50 domestic and foreign remote delegates via the Zoom platform.

On the side of the University of Toulouse Capitole, there were the presence of: Prof. Marie-Pierre Blin, Director of the Master's Program in Law and Corporate Social Responsibility Management; Prof. Gerard Jazottes, Deputy Director of Continuing Education Department, Director of the Master's Program in Corporate Law; Prof. Alexandra Mendoza - Caminade, Director of the Master's Program in Intellectual Property Law; Prof. Francine Macorig Venier, Director of Master’s Program in Business Law; Dr. Diogo Costa Cunha, Business Law Center.

On the side of units in Thua Thien Hue province, there were the presence of: Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung, Vice Director of Hue University; Mr. Bui Van Thanh, Deputy Chief Justice of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Court; Mr. Tran Quang Hoa, Deputy head of Civil Affairs Department, Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Procuracy; Lawyer Dang Thi Ngoc Hanh, Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Bar Association; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dao, Deputy Head of Judicial Support Office, Department of Justice of Thua Thien Hue province; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Director of the French Institute in Hue.

On the side of the University of Law, Hue University, there was the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector as well as the heads/deputy heads of affiliated units and lecturers.

Speaking at the symposium, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong emphasized that this was a forum receiving the attention of many scientists and researchers, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. The conference has attracted many domestic and foreign experts, lecturers and researchers to submit articles on three main topics: Economic, environmental - social and digital risks. The conference was also an opportunity for scholars to exchange and discuss issues related to business and risk prevention from a legal perspective.

The Conference Organizing Committee received a total of 66 articles, of which 59 were approved for publication in the conference proceedings, including: 53 articles by Vietnames authors and 06 articles by professors from the University of Toulouse Capitole, France.

Symposium presentations mainly related to: hedging of insolvency under the new French law on security interests; subcontracting and sustainability issues in the value chain; contracts of the enterprise; data market domination and the limitation of competition law for platform enterprises; environmental management of post-covid enterprises related to the corporate social responsibility of "biodiversity" of economic entities; biodiversity protection and management of intellectual property; collective bargaining at enterprises; post-covid corporate governance - the intersectional perspective between labor and environment.

The symposium underwent two serious and effective working sessions through 08 presentations, of which 02 were from Vietnamese and 06 were from French researchers. The symposium received more than 12 exchanges with more than 25 questions raised. The issues and questions raised by the delegates have been answered clearly. Other issues were suggested for further researches in the next symposia.

After more than 5 working hours, the symposium has achieved many encouraging results.
