DOCTORAL DISSERTATION DEFENSE IN ECONOMIC LAW FOR TWO PH.D. CANDIDATES
Update day: 13-03-2026On March 13, 2026, the University of Law, Hue University, organized a doctoral dissertation defense in the major of Economic Law for two Ph.D. candidates, Nguyen Huu Tri and Le Van Cao.
Specifically, Ph.D. candidate Nguyen Huu Tri presented his research titled "Legislation on consumer rights protection in the pharmaceutical sector" under the academic supervision of Dr. Le Thi Thao (University of Law, Hue University) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hue (Tra Vinh University). The dissertation assessment committee included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong (Chairman); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Viet Long (Secretary); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Mong Diep (Opponent 1); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Huu Nghi (Opponent 2); along with members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Quynh Hoa, Dr. Tran Thi Sau, and Dr. Vu Thi Huong.
Ph.D. candidate Le Van Cao presented his dissertation on "Legal liability for breach of obligations in real estate business contracts under Vietnamese Law," supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong (University of Law, Hue University) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hue (Tra Vinh University). The assessment committee consisted of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Dinh Lanh (Chairman); Dr. Nguyen Son Ha (Secretary); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Quynh Hoa (Opponent 1); Dr. Le Thi Giang (Opponent 2); and committee members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Thi Mai Hien, Dr. Nguyen Thi Le Huyen, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong.
During the sessions, the two candidates summarized the core contents of their dissertations, clarifying the research objectives, approaches, methodologies, and key findings. The dissertations focused on analyzing the theoretical and practical frameworks within their respective fields, thereby proposing solutions to refine the legal framework and enhance enforcement efficiency in practice.
Based on the candidates' presentations, committee members engaged in discussions and provided evaluations regarding the scientific value, originality, and practical significance of the research. They also offered constructive feedback on specific areas for further revision to enhance the overall quality of the studies.
