General Information

The Faculty of Economic Law was established on April 3, 2015 according to Decision No. 16/QD-DHL of the Rector of the University of Law, Hue University. This establishment resulted in the separation of the Economic - International Law Department into two independent faculties.

The Faculty of Economic Law is one of the leading faculties in terms of achievements. Following the University’s general development process, the Faculty of Economic Law is positioned as a core unit in training high-quality legal human resources in the field of Economic law. It is also the unique academic faculty allowed to organize simultaneous training for bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in Economic Law at the University of Law, Hue University.

Overview

Functions and Tasks

The Faculty of Economic Law is entrusted with performing two basic functions including: (1) Participating in training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (Master, Doctorate) in Economic Law; (2) carrying out scientific research activities for contributing to realizing the University’s missions.

The tasks of the Faculty’s lecturers mainly focus on:

- Developing and completing training programs.

- Teaching modules within the scope of economic law at all training levels at the University.

- Supervising undergraduate students in final internships, scientific researches, and completing graduation theses;

- Supervising graduate learners in completing master's and doctoral theses in the field of Economic Law.

Training activities

The Faculty of Economic Law is organized into 2 departments:

As a major department of the Faculty of Economic Law and the University of Law, Hue University, in addition to the basic modules, the Department of Commercial and Labor Law undertakes teaching specialized modules including: Labor market Law, Investment Law, Competition Law (Vietnamese, English), Bidding Law, Food safety law; Consumer protection law; M&A Law, Corporate governance Law, Contract negotiation and drafting skills in business and commerce; Labor dispute and strike resolve skills.

 

As a specialized academic unit of the Faculty of Economic Law, the modules undertaken by the Departments of Land - Environmental Law and Finance - Banking  Law include: Stock market Law; Financial supervision Law; Law on loan security in credit activities; Law on environmental impact assessment of investment projects; Corporate finance Law; Law on security in banking credit activities; Law on compensation and resettlement support for land recovery; Tax legal consulting skills; Land dispute resolve skills and law.
