BRIEF INFORMATION
The Civil Law Faculty, formerly known as the Department of Private - Civil Law, stands as one of the units established during the early days of the formation of the Law Faculty within Hue University of Sciences, in accordance with Decision No. 020/QD-DHH-TCNS issued by the Director of Hue University. On March 3, 2015, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 274/QD-TTg, officially establishing the University of Law under Hue University. Subsequently, the Civil Law Faculty emerged as a separate entity, detached from the Department of Private - Civil Law, and has been enhanced with the inclusion of three departments: Civil Law, Civil Procedure Law, and International Private Law.
Since March 25, 2020, as a result of Decision No. 509/QD-DHH endorsed by the Director of Hue University, approving the Restructuring Plan of the University of Law, the Civil Law Faculty has undergone a reorganization, now consisting of two departments: the Civil Law department and the Civil Procedure Law - International Private Law department.
The Civil Law Faculty boasts a longstanding tradition and remarkable achievements within the University of Law. The specialized field entrusted to the Faculty for training has been identified by the university as one of the prominent areas to bolster the institution's reputation, aligning aptly with the distinctive characteristics of a law training institution situated in the Central and Central Highlands regions.

GENERAL INTRODUCTION
Functions and Tasks
The Civil Law Faculty undertakes two fundamental roles: teaching and scientific research. The faculty imparts students with legal expertise encompassing civil law, marriage and family law, intellectual property, civil procedure, and international private law. These domains hold immense practical significance and are intricately intertwined with societal affairs. Moreover, in addition to furnishing specialized and comprehensive knowledge in the managed legal fields, the Civil Law Faculty places utmost importance on nurturing the professional skills of students. The objective is to cultivate their capability to effectively apply the acquired knowledge in resolving real-life situations.
The Civil Law Faculty comprises two departments: the Civil Law department and the Civil Procedure Law - International Private Law department. Faculty members actively participate in the development of two undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Economic Law. They engage in teaching and research in compulsory courses within the field and specialization. These include Civil Law 1, Civil Law 2, Marriage and Family Law, Intellectual Property Law, Civil Procedure Law, International Private Law, Real Estate Market Law, Negotiation, Contract Formation, Dispute Resolution in Civil Matters, Consultation Skills, Contract Dispute Resolution, Land Law, and Land Dispute Resolution.
Moreover, the Civil Law Faculty oversees the specialization and teaching of elective courses such as Human Rights in Civil Law, Gender Equality Law, Contract Drafting Skills, Inheritance Law, and Consultation and Dispute Resolution in Contracts involving foreign elements. Additionally, the Faculty actively contributes to the development and participation in training programs for master's and doctoral students in the field of economic law, following the school's programs and plans.
In addition to equipping students with legal knowledge and professional skills, the Civil Law Faculty places significant emphasis on the research endeavors of both faculty members and students. Annually, the Faculty organizes faculty-level seminars and workshops, actively participating in conferences at the university, national, and international levels, including hosting such events. The Faculty's esteemed members contribute numerous articles to reputable legal journals, as well as publish their findings in the proceedings of national and international scientific conferences. Furthermore, the Faculty wholeheartedly encourages and supports research activities undertaken by students.
Regarding international collaboration, the Civil Law Faculty stands as the central point of focus for the University of Law in partnering with legal counterparts within the French-speaking community for joint research and training initiatives. At present, the Francophone Club, under the direct management of the Civil Law Faculty, serves as a platform for faculty members and students from the French-speaking community at the University of Law to actively engage in regular activities.
Lecturer team
The Faculty of Civil Law currently stands as a prominent department within the University of Law, boasting a distinguished Lecturer team. The faculty consists of 1 Associate Professor, 5 Ph.D. Lecturers, 11 Masters (some of whom are pursuing their Ph.D.), and 1 Bachelor's degree holder (currently pursuing a Master's degree in Law). Among the faculty members, there are 1 Ph.D. and 3 Masters who have received their training overseas. The leadership of the faculty is composed of two members (1 Dean and 1 Vice-dean). The faculty members actively engage in various research projects funded by the Ministry, with many articles published in domestic law journals. Additionally, they participate in numerous national and international scientific conferences.
TRAINING ACTIVITIES
Development orientation
In the coming period, the Civil Law Faculty will continue to enhance the quality of teaching and training for students in the fields of Law and Economic Law, focusing on the courses managed by the faculty, with a priority given to providing and honing professional skills for students. Simultaneously, efforts will be made to improve the quality of the faculty team, increasing the proportion of faculty members with a doctoral degree to meet the University's demand for training in the specialized field of Civil Law.
